Novotel Premier Room Tour: Accor Hotel in Taiping Malaysia
This is my firsthand review of Novotel Taiping, Malaysia, a mid-scale hotel of Accor Hotels Group with a major presence in the different continent; Asia, Europe, North/South America, Africa, Middle East and Australia.
Apparently, this was my first stay at the hotel and decided to review about the stay in their Premier Room. This will give you a hindsight & short tour of the Premier Room at Novotel Taiping.
HOW WAS THE STAY?
Well, it was immensely good – and to be honest, this is from my personal opinion after a very late night check-in and a management that handles my stay with a breeze. The team has proved a great hospitality here at Novotel Hotel, Taiping.
My thought of doing this review is because I think it’s worth mentioning for those traveling to Taiping, Malaysia and need a quiet and comfortable stay, close to the center of the town and something alternative to Airbnb. As many of us choose the budget option this is still perfect for anyone and for those traveling with kids. For the premier room, it costs around RM180-200 per night with FREE breakfast buffet.
For those never heard of this town before, it is in the of state Perak, Malaysia, the northern territory of Peninsular Malaysia and the town is called Taiping. Getting to Taiping is easy, you could either take coach or train almost from any main cities including from the capital city; Kuala Lumpur.

Taiping is a small, laidback town with historic buildings some dating back 100 years ago. This place is blessed with a beautiful hill nearby; Maxwell Hill, a hill station at 1000m elevation, the main attraction for travelers. The Lake Garden is well worth a visit too if you have a whole day to spend.

An outdoor swimming pool is available for guests at Level 7; the kids’ room and the gym facilities are also available at the same level adjacent to swimming pool area.
Not forget to mention that the cafe’ has a good mix of local & international cuisine for buffet breakfast at Level 7. It may not be the best but their coffee is worth mentioning here, I had a good breakfast with their freshly brewed coffee.
- Central location in the Taiping Town.
- Top-notch service for a 4-star hotel; all basic amenities provided free – gym, kids room, swimming pool & cafe at Level 7 that comes with complimentary breakfast buffet for each stay.
- Free parking in the same building – free for guests
- Love their coffee!
- The breakfast choice is good but not the best to cater everyone.
